// iLLUMINATE KIDS

illuminate kids exists to help children realize their full potential in Jesus Christ! Our goal is to provide a loving, safe, and fun environment where children can learn and grow in their faith. illuminate kids strives to serve as a partner to parents and families in teaching and nurturing a child’s faith.

// WHAT TO EXPECT

Each week, children will participate in dynamic worship, exciting games, and an engaging lesson designed to convey a biblical truth in a meaningful, relevant, and creative way.

SO COME READY TO LEARN, MAKE FRIENDS, AND HAVE FUN!

Will my child be safe?

Our top priority at illuminate kids is safety. All of our volunteers undergo background checks and training, and our check-in system ensures that only authorized adults can pick up a child. Your child will be safe and well cared for while at illuminate kids!

Can I stay with my child during service?

In order to maintain the safety and integrity of our ministry, our policy is to allow only background- checked adults to stay in the cafeteria with the children once service starts. If you are needed at any time during the service, the number on the Parent Receipt that you receive at check-in will be put up on the screen.

What is Generational Sunday?

One of the core values of illuminate church is the importance of families worshipping together. On the first Sunday of each month, children from Kindergarten – 5th Grade will join their families in the main auditorium for a service designed with all generations in mind. Nursery (birth – age 2) and Preschool (ages 3-5) classes will still be available in the cafeteria.

What’s up with those inflatables?

At illuminate kids, our two giant inflatables will be up and ready for fun each week from 9:30am – 9:55am. Children age 3 and up are welcome to bounce and play before service starts, with volunteers on site to supervise the children at all times. At 9:55, the inflatables will be deflated and the children will be escorted to their age-appropriate class.

Will the inflatables be up on Generational Sunday?

The inflatables will not be up on Generational Sunday, as we want to encourage children to serve alongside the adults on those mornings. If your school-aged child is interested in being a greeter or usher on Generational Sunday, please let any of the illuminate kids leaders know!

(Check-in for the Baby Watts and Tiny Watts classes will open at 9:40am on Generational Sunday.)

Do you need volunteers?

Yes! illuminate kids is always growing, and we are always looking for volunteers to join our team. If you are interested, you can pick up an application at the check-in desk.

// CHECK IN STEPS:

1 // To begin, approach the Check-In desk and wait for the first available attendant. You may check in your child at either desk, regardless of age. Give the attendant your last name to bring up your family information. If you are a first time guest, let the attendant know, and they will give you a new family form to fill out. Your information will then be entered into our system.

2 // The attendant will print out a nametag for your child, and a Parent Receipt with a number that corresponds to your child’s name tag.

3 // If you are needed at any point during the service, we will place your Parent Receipt number on the screen in the main service. If this occurs, please return to the cafeteria immediately.

4 // After service, bring you Parent Receipt back to your child’s assigned area. The leader will verify the number and your child will be released to you.

If you lose your parent receipt at any point during the service, please head to the check-in table before picking up your child. Be prepared to show identification in order to receive a new receipt.
